A while ago (May 15th 2012 to be precise) I took part in an experiment to have loads of photos taken around the world on the same day (http://www.aday.org/). I had loads of plans of the photos that I would take on the day, but in the end was actually very ill and house-bound. I still managed to take a few photographs, though nothing that I am particularly proud of, and nothing like what I had in mind.
In my mind, I was going to document my journey to work, as well as my working day and then my evening too. Unfortunately, I ended up with a very small selection of relatively boring images of my day as I remained confined at home.
With over 100,000 submissions from the day, taken in 165 countries, the team behind the project has put a book together with a total of 1000 images selected by a panel.
