Walking has always been a popular form of holiday in my family, ever since I was very young. My enjoyment of being outdoors has continued into my adult life where walking features heavily both in holidays as well as in day trips out from Sheffield. This has resulted in a dominance of landscapes among my photographs. Getting extra special photographs of landscapes usually requires the kind of dedication that I am unable to commit to on a regular basis (for example, the image above on Mam Tor was taken around 5am). Having said that, it is not essential to get up so early to see landscapes worth photographing.
Aside from landscapes, you will find photos of wildlife (and a couple of farm animals) in this section, as well as some greater-than-life-size macros (measured in terms of relative magnification when compared to the size of the camera’s image sensor).
