Towards the end of last year, I made up part of a team who shot the music video for a song written by Nick & Claire Law (St Thomas Crookes) and Chris Sayburn (St George’s Leeds).
Everlasting Joy is declaration of the Lord’s promises in the midst of the ruins of life and a reminder that those who sow in tears will reap songs of everlasting joy.
The shoot featured a variety of different camera brands (all SLRs). I personally used my Sony Alpha A55 which worked really well until mid-way during the final shoot the sensor over-heated and the camera stopped recording.
This has probably the first time that I have used the A55 primarily as a video camera for an event. Aside from the over-heating sensor, the camera worked really well in conjunction with the SAL-2470z 24-70mm F2.8.
